ARTIST'S STATEMENT
"A few nights ago I sat on the roof of my parent's house with my brother, no one else was there.
We shared a smoke, but more importantly we shared a moment.
It was a beautiful sky, a sky that I'd recently been reminded of by a boy who said 'i love you baybe'.
Sometimes everything appears to be connected.
Sometimes the only thing I can see is my shadow."
BIO
Lucy Turnbull is a painting student at Adelaide Central School of Art. Last year she was chosen to be a feature artist at Loreto Spring Art Show, she has since participated in numerous group exhibitions, live art demonstrations, most recently live painting at the Big Day Out. Her first solo exhibition, face up at the Exeter, Rundle St, was part of the 2004 SALA Festival. A new artwork by Lucy will hang in the front bar of the Exeter Hotel in 2005.
Lucy has exhibited as part of Carclew's Fifth Floor project.
