THE ARK – so you want to work in schools?
Will the artistic skills you have to offer make a difference to the students, be valued by the teachers and supported by the school community? Well, ‘The ark’ will keep you afloat and help you on your way. Developed in consultation with artists, educators, schools, arts organisations and companies, ‘The ark’ documents the elements and procedures that contribute to models of best practice in the delivery of lively and engaging arts and education processes.
‘The ark’ consists of, a hard copy document – which provides a check list of roles for the artist and school to plan around, an online resource – which details information from the checklist and downloadable templates – useful documents for educators and artists to use when implementing projects and activities ‘The ark’ is for artists, educators and communities…‘The ark’ is for you!

An energised, growing, sustainable Youth Arts community, which spans all art forms and delivers quality outcomes for children and young people under 27 years of age, is vital to ensure the future cultural, social and economic wellbeing of South Australia.
