ARTS BLAST

Carclew's Arts and Education Program has offered a range of arts workshops and teacher PD workshops as part of ARTS BLAST for a number of years. In May 2008 ARTS BLAST will be offered to schools through both Carclew's Arts & Education and Workshop Programs as part of the 16th ASSITEJ World Congress & Performing Arts Festival for Young People.

A unique opportunity for students to engage with international, national and local artists ARTS BLAST workshops will be specialised incubators which directly link into ASSITEJ shows. ARTS BLAST provides students with opportunities to have active engagement with the 16th ASSITEJ World Congress and Performing Arts Festival, through an exceptional program of arts workshops, incorporating a broad range of culturally diverse and inclusive arts activities.

Encompassing the Festival theme, ‘Old Knowledge, New Word’, Carclew Youth Arts will facilitate the workshop program with a central hub located at the Adelaide Festival Centre allowing schools to purchase a show plus a workshop or schools can book for a workshop only.

To BOOK for one of the 14 performing or visual arts workshops contact ASSITEJ on 8271 1422 or fax 8271 9905.
