PROJECT COORDINATOR: Kym Nadebaum and Vala Vinogradoff

ARTIST: Jessica Wallace and Kate Dooley

PROJECT: ‘Video Production’ – a media video project.

Aim:
For students to gain a greater awareness of video production through an intensive digital video course to support TSOF Video Academy.

The artists worked with 12 students with a focus on storyboarding for production, visualisation techniques, directing and post-production procedures.

Outcomes:
The students developed an understanding of video as a medium by which they could communicate. They also developed processes to make video productions more professional as well as an awareness of how to organise and prepare for video productions.
Many of the Video Academy students entered their work in the Young Film Makers Awards with great success.

‘The artists were well organized and very talented…depending on funding, programs of this type are worthwhile and important. Hopefully it can continue in the future.’ Teacher

‘I feel there is great potential for further AIS artists to be part of media learning at TSOF.’ Artist

12 students were involved in this video project.
