Aim:
• To give a new dimension to the existing Arts program while complementing the existing Environmental Education focus.

Outcomes:
All students achieved a sense of pride in their work. Skills acquired were cross-curricula and the technology skills focused on hand and machine sewing. A performance was held at the end of the term and 2 of the costumes were part of the Biodiversity display at DECS State Office throughout June 2002.
Follow-up programs included end of term, end of year performances, street theatre etc. Costumes were also used by students visiting the school's Marine Studies Centre.

‘The artist worked very well in a classroom setting and had excellent rapport with students, staff and the wider community.’Teacher

23 students were involved in this project.
