Acting, Circus and Aerial Classes
Suitable for> 8 - 18 year olds
Synopsis> Classes offered in these disciplines cover a range of activities including theatre games, story development, improvisation, acting, trapeze and tissu, aerial, tumbling, juggling, hoops and diablo, circus as well as stage skills, character development and performance.
Season> Eight weeks starting 1 August
Venue> Nightcliff Community Centre, Gray Hall or Darwin Entertainment Centre
Cost> $135 or $95 concession per term.

Littlies Dance and Character Play
Suitable for> 3 - 6 year olds or 6-8 year olds
Synopsis> Introduction to movement, creative physical expression and storytelling through movement.
Season> 9:00am – 10:00am, Saturday for eight weeks starting 2 August
Venue> Nightcliff Community Centre
Cost> $70 or $50 concession per term.

Smelter
Suitable for> 18 to 26 year olds
Synopsis> The 18- 26 crew get together fortnightly to devise new work, run scripts, invite guests tutors and collaborate in a supportive, self-directed environment.
Season> 1:00pm – 3:00pm on Saturdays
Venue> Nightcliff Community Centre
Cost> $25 per year.

Cirque Du Funk
Suitable for> Everyone
Synopsis> The annual circus show rocks out with Reckless Circus and Neo joining forces. These two Darwin institutions will combine circus antics with live music and along wth special guests provide a show that will blow your minds!
Season> Tue 26 and Wed 27 August
Venue> The Playhouse, Darwin Entertainment Centre
Cost> Free

Nitestreet 08-01
Suitable for> 14-18 year olds
Synopsis> The Indigenous Arts Program works with emerging artists across a range of artforms before bringing them together for an explosive gig celebrating young Indigenous artists from Darwin and beyond.
Season> 7:00pm-10:00pm, Fri 19 September

InCite/Mt Theo –Yuendumu Hip Hop Project
Synopsis> Guest artists and mentors ‘Elftranzporter’ and ‘Bassman’ will work with young people in Yuendumu to create original new songs in Warlpiri and English telling the stories of life in this community.
Season> 18-29 August

InCite Alice Springs Hip Hop Mentoring
Synopsis> This is an opportunity for a small group of dedicated young, Alice Springs based, InCite Mentorees to pursue their music skills professional development having one on one access to these nationally acclaimed artists and mentors ‘Elftranzporter’ and ‘Bassman’.
Season> 1- 5 September.

InCite Alice Desert Festival Wearable Arts Awards- Student Presentation
The inaugural InCite Award for high school students in years 7 – 9 coincides with the first dedicated student presentation of this popular arts calendar event. Without thematic boundaries, students have complete freedom to explore construction and use of materials.
Season> 31 August

InCite/Alice Springs High School (ASHS) Hip Hop Dance Program
In 2008 ASHS continues to employ dance artists through InCite for this program encompassing physical fitness, social and emotional wellbeing and self-esteem. Building on the success of the 2006 and 2007 workshops, the 2008 Hip-Hop Dance Program is proving highly motivating for the students. Many requests from local community and arts events for performances provide a consistent process of workshop, rehearsals and presentations allowing the dancers to mature as young performers and collaborators. ASHS’ reputation for this dance program is gaining great community acclaim.
