The Industry Development Program is a program of support for young emerging artists, youth arts professionals and the SAYAB funded companies. 
The South Australian Youth Arts Board are delighted to announce the following recipients of the 2009 SAYAB Scholarships
The recipient of the $12,500 Ruth Tuck Scholarship in Visual Arts is Fleur Elise Noble.
Fleur will undertake a mentorship with Allan Smith, the director of multi-media exhibition projects by Gibson International Ltd in Wellington New Zealand. Allan Smith specialises in Filmic-Theatre productions and interactive multi-media spaces.
The recipient of the $12,500 Dame Ruby Litchfield Scholarship in Performing Arts is Jessica Dean.
Jessica will undertake the new Master of Arts in Opera at the prestigious Royal Academy of Music. This course is specifically tailored to the most advanced opera students. This scholarship will help to cover her tuition fees and living expenses during the period of her study in London.
The recipient of the $6,500 Colin Thiele Creative Writing Scholarship is Claire Richards.
The scholarship will enable Claire to undertake a course of professional development focusing on writing picture books for children and to work with mentor Penny Matthews.
The recipient of the $6,500 Independent Arts Foundation Creative Writing Scholarship is Gemma Sneddon.
Gemma will use her award to undertake six months writing and to use the time to build professional writing practice. She will work on a script entitled ‘Modern Moonlight”.
